Расстояние между cardView

Question

Не могу понять, почему между элементами такое большое расстояние. Вроде бы всё делаю согласно руководствам из Интернета.

действительно, ступил. свитер-про был прав. выставил android:layout_height="wrap_content" и все встало как надо
