  • Представленный Вами код не рабочий. "добавляю вот так..." - куда добавляете?

  • что бы запустить рендер только на клиенте на верху файла надо написать 'use client';

Компоненты nextjs рендерятся сначала на сервере, потом на клиенте.

В момент рендера на сервере - доступ к браузерному api отсутствует, поэтому нельзя обращаться к window.


Свойства top и left работают, если элементу установлен position отличный от static. В данном коде элементу добавляется class="absolute", но раз положение не меняется - в этом классе не устанавливается свойство position.
