В результате после щелчка по кнопке Каталог товаров блок .dropdownwindow располагается выше шапки сайта, а не на всю высоту окна. Подскажите как добиться растяжения блока на всю высоту окна.

Гуглите про position: absolute и fixed. Они вырвут блок из потока и повесят независимо. Только там свои заморочки с ними насчет позиционирования. — user347472, 11 июл 2021 в 13:16
@InDevX тогда в результате при разворачивании блока в один ряд выстроятся .dropdownwindow и другие подблоки #pageHeader, а мне нужно, чтобы выпадающее окно было поверх родительского. Содержимое исходного окна не должно сдвигаться, а должно перекрываться. — newbie seeker, 11 июл 2021 в 13:40
