Зачем?

MainActivity = _activity;
DisplayMetrics dm = MainActivity.getResources().getDisplayMetrics();

Надо так

DisplayMetrics dm = _activity.getResources().getDisplayMetrics();

И зачем вы передаёте Activity? Нужно передать Context. И в итоге

public SwipeTouchListener(Context ctx) {
DisplayMetrics dm = ctx.getResources().getDisplayMetrics();
}
