Проблема с библиотекой Android Paging Library 3, настраивал пейджер, работает, но, когда пользователь нажимает кнопу назад, список recyclerview очищается и снова загружается данные (lifecycle не реагирует, state сбрасывается). Искал в Гитхабе, не нашел нужного решения.
