Как мне отследить нажатие на клавишу клавиатуры?

Хочу визуализировать в окне приложения клавишу, которая была нажата на клавиатуре, то есть выделить в окне ее название цветом и после убрать выделение, в этом куске кода.

В общем случае вам надо переопределить keyPressEvent для получения событий нажатия клавиш для виджета.

Я не трогал клавиши F1, ..., F7, т.к. они могут быть привязаны к другому слушателю. Я частично реализовал обработку нажатия клавиш, в т.ч. и с учетом комбинаций с клавишами Ctrl, Alt, Shift. Попробуйте.
